I hate changes almost as much as I hate rules. I especially hate changes that are imposed on me. You probably have the same sentiment, so let's get into what's up because changes are coming and it impacts all of us. Some months ago a poll about what things we wanted to change in the shop was sent out to the slack. The top things voted were having more space to work on projects, having more room for short term storage, and casual meeting space. Sometime after that we had a few discussions about what to do when our lease was up. The response was in favor of relocating the shop to a bigger space because NEXT Manufacturing is out of room for us to expand. I started asking around and, after some months of looking at a bunch of buildings, found a suitable space at 31 Cessna Court near the downtown airport that fit our wants.
This website page is a general announcement page for info about the move. For members and volunteers helping with the move, the project will be managed from the Basecamp. Discussions will be held on the SynergyMill Slack.
We have a chance to remake SynergyMill into what we want so let's make it awesome!

There are several models I've been working on. Tinkercad was a quick and simple model that can be imported into Arkio on MetaVR. With that we can do VR walkthroughs and actually put things on the floorplan to see how they fit and how it feels.
Arkio architectural software works with all devices. https://www.arkio.is/ Let me know if you have an account and I'll share the models with you. Also, I have 2 VR goggle sets so we can work on it concurrently.
